A GUATEMALAN PERSPECTIVE. AN OPEN CONVERSATION.

Better questions.Meaningfulknowledge.

I explore how we build knowledge—and how it helps us understand our cities, our environment, and the ways we learn.

Methodology · A starting point

What makes a research gap worth investigating?

An unanswered question is a beginning. A meaningful contribution also needs a reason to matter, a connection to evidence, and a path to investigation.

Thinking together.

José Luis Argueta Mayorga

My work lives at the intersection of research methodology, territorial analysis, and education.

As a researcher with the Faculty of Engineering at the Universidad de San Carlos de Guatemala, I connect conceptual questions with the places and experiences that give them meaning. My interests include urban mobility, spatial transformation, water and climate, and the construction of knowledge.

This space brings that work into conversation: selected studies, clear explanations, and ideas for researchers, students, and people who want to understand their surroundings.
